MSTR®Scar Tissue Release
What is Scar Tissue??
Scar Tissue is a collection of collagen and cells that covers the site of the injury.
It is a result of the body’s natural healing after an injury or trauma.
Scar tissue can cause discomfort, pain, pulling sensations, nerve issues, reduced muscles function or restricted motion.
What is MSTR®Scar Tissue Release ??
McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® was developed by Mr Alastair McLoughlin who is experienced Instructor/remedial massage therapist himself.
It is designed for post-surgical recovery, particularly for scars resulting from trauma or surgery.
MSTR® is non-invasive body work. Therapist place finger tip on the scar and move various direction rhythmically with gentle pressure.

What kind of symptoms can MSTR® be helpful for?
Examples:
Numbness or desensitisation in or around the area of the scar
Pain
Feeling of disconnection between upper and lower body (e.g.C-section scars)
Hypersensitivity/Burning/Itching
Physical appearance(e.g.colouration and texture)
Emotional and psychological pain associated with scars and the events that created them

How many sessions do I need??
The treatment time depends on the number of scars and their sizes.
If you are treating one or two areas, a 60-minute session to assess your comfort level and your body's response.
Follow up treatments can be scheduled after around 48 hours for small scars and 5-7days for large scars.
*At least 3 sessions are recommended for scar tissue treatment.
